Weddings at St. Patrick's, Inishlonaght (Marlfield)
As of March 2009, all couples who wish to marry in this church must first of all consult with the Rector of Clonmel Union of Parishes (Church of Ireland) with regard to permission to marry and availability. All marriages solemnised in this church will be entered in the Marriage Record Book belonging to that church. The Rector will also require that whoever is to solemnise a marriage in this church, as with all our parish churches, is on the State Register of Solemnisers and is authorised to solemnise marriages according to either the Church of Ireland Rites and Ceremonies or the Roman Catholic Rite; as with all our churches.
It should be noted that if anybody wishes to have somebody outside the state solemnise their marriage they must apply for a temporary license for them from the State Register and from the relevant Church – this applies to all our churches.
